David Vinturella - Owner
David Vinturella is a professional and seasoned independent manufacturer’s representative working in the industrial marketplace since 1986. Much of his valuable knowledge and experience was gained in the first 25 years of his career working for both industrial distributors and manufacturers. During that time, David built many long-standing trusted business relationships.
Combining his industrial acumen and honed sales skills, David is now self-employed and working as an independent manufacturer’s representative. David takes pride in providing the proper material to fulfill specific customer specifications. Also, he strives to achieve double digit year-over-year growth for the lines he represents, along with providing complete customer satisfaction.
David has an extensive background in the oilfield markets, both upstream and downstream. In addition, he has a broad range of experience dealing with chemical processing plants. The majority of David’s clientele are associated with these business fields.
After joining the MIS team in 2017, David purchased the company in 2021. Currently, he is serving Louisiana, Mississippi, Southern Alabama, Southern Florida.
On the weekends, you can find David watching college football or enjoying a casual round of golf with good friends.
Brian Payton
Brian Payton has been working with MIS for 3 years. Brian was introduced to the territory by Danny Shumate who retired after 15 years with MIS. Before MIS, Brian had been working on the fluid power side of the marketplace. Previously, his territory was comprised of up to 20 states. He is an experienced salesperson with exceptional time management skills and product knowledge. Currently, he covers Southern GA, NW Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia for MIS.
Brian is an avid golfer with a single digit handicap and a family man.
Jeff Cogdal
Jeff Cogdal has been servicing the Tennessee, Northern Alabama, and Northern Georgia area for the last 6 years. Jeff was hired and introduced to his customer base through Dan Perry, the previous MIS owner. Dan mentored Jeff until he was comfortable with his working knowledge.; then Dan retired 4 years ago. Prior to Martin Industrial Sales Jeff worked for a hydraulic repair shop in Nashville as a machinist/hydraulic tech and moved into sales covering TN, Western Ky, Southern Illinois, Missouri, Arkansas and Mississippi.
In Jeff’s spare time he enjoys woodworking and spending time with his family watching his teenage son and daughter compete in travel baseball and competitive cheerleading.
Sam Dennis
Sam Dennis is the newest member of our team. He lives in Houston Texas. He previously worked for Seal Fast for over 30 years. In 2016 he established his own rep agency. He has been serving the Texas and Oklahoma area since the mid 1990’s.
His wife serves as his work chauffer and all-around business partner.
